I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.

MY TARGET AUDIENCE? YOU, OF COURSE!

TIPTOEING TENDERLY
There is wisdom in the advice about keeping my words sweet in case I have to eat them. So I’m tiptoeing tenderly into the blogworld in case I choose to retreat, hoping no one will notice that I have been … Continue reading
PHOTOGRAPH
The browning album crackled from the weight of the fading pictures as mygrandchildren turned the page of the wonderland that used to be. Alayna said to Pete, “That used to be Grandma.” “No, Alayna, you’re wrong,” I thought. “That girl … Continue reading

TREASURES TO BIG TO HOLD IN ONE’S HAND
I have just read ish’s comments on most precious treasure. (http://ishmusing.com/2015/05/03/blogging-day-20-treasure-an-assortment-of-little-pin-wheel-squares/#more-243). I certainly identify with the question of what treasure to write about. I believe it is because my mind slides into trying to choose a material treasure. Something I … Continue reading

FLIP FLOPPING ON FLIP FLOPS
You could classify me as a foot-dragging flip-flopper. Changes come in my life after lots of researching, complaining, and compromising. In fashion it sometimes happens, but only after a great deal of trend-lagging. Last summer I went to church bare … Continue reading
